Ok, guys, so nothing’s official yet, and I’m not supposed to know this, but I recently caught word of some very exciting news. The Edelbrock E-Force supercharger series, which has quickly become renowned for its incredible build quality and performance numbers in a low-profile package, will be headed to the Challenger very soon. Edelbrock’s apparently, according to a source I have, going to announce the Challenger E-Force and unveil it officially at SEMA this year.
I know what you’re thinking: There are already other superchargers out there for the Challenger, why should I care about this one? I’ll tell you why: ease. Superchargers typically require an aftermarket hood for them to fit, and the installation is never something easy. The Edelbrock E-Force turns that whole notion on to its head, though. The E-Force supercharger is low-profile and will fit under the stock hood, and it’s also a more simplified and efficient supercharger system than what most people are accustomed to. It’s a simple, single modification piece that doesn’t require extra pieces and will give your Challenger a serious HP boost. How serious of a boost? It pushes the Camaro SS up to 599 HP! That’s 177HP bonus, and on a car that’s less powerful than the top-end Challenger. One can only imagine what the Challenger’s numbers will be like with the E-Force installed.
Another reason to get excited about the E-Force is the price tag. The Camaro E-Force supercharger is super affordable at just over $6k when compared to other superchargers. In fact, all of the E-Force superchargers have cost about that much up to here, so there’s zero reason to expect the Challenger E-Force to be any different at all. To be able to get that much HP at that price is absolutely incredible. And again, without the necessity for other modification pieces or an aftermarket hood, the affordability is even more impressive when compared to other supercharger systems. Finally, and this is kind of a given, this supercharger is worth getting excited over because it’s an Edelbrock. They have built an incredible reputation for quality and performance, and all of their supercharger systems come with very impressive warranties. To know that you’ll be getting their quality and performance with their warranty and reliability is incredibly relieving as well.
So, I know this almost sounds too good to be true, but trust me. The Edelbrock system is definitely coming out for the Challenger soon (and, apparently, the Mustang as well), it’s an absolute beast of a system at a great price, and we’ll have a lot more official and precise details after SEMA. Look out, this thing will be a very big deal!
