The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat
is probably one of the hottest cars of the moment. Due to its insane, 707-horsepower supercharged V8. However, there are reports coming out that it may be capable of more power. But may be having issues with emissions tests.
According to the folks at Jalopnik, an unnamed source explained that the 707 horsepower number is a conservative figure. And during testing the company pushed the new supercharged 6.2L Hemi as high as 825 horsepower.
The Chrysler Group amazed the performance world when it annouced early in the year that the hellcat could produce an incredible 707hp and 650-lb ft of torque. The Hellcat Hemi is packing some fairly big numbers making it the most powerful American production road motor ever. And it stands to be even more powerful if the Chrysler Group engineers can get 825hp out of the 6.2L Hemi.
