2011 Challenger Mopar Drag-Pak: A Viper in Challenger Clothing

Mopar, the Chrysler helmed performance division, has announced that they will obliging all Challenger lovers with a thirst for V10 power this year when they put together a Challenger package supplanting the usual Hemi V8 with about the only engine on God’s green earth that is meaner and nastier: the Viper 8.4L V10.

While solid performance numbers aren’t released yet, we can assume that this Challenger will be an absolute monster. It appears Dodge and Mopar are expecting such also and are building it specifically for drag racing purposes. In addition to the big and powerful 8.4 Liter V10, Mopar is also including a solid rear axle, a fuel cell, upgraded rear-end gears, a dash gauge package, and race-prepared two-speed automatic transmission. The Mopar upgrades don’t stop there, either.

Mopar is also offering some great optional modifications. Among them: A Competition Package (which includes an 8-Point Roll Cage, a 6-Point Safety Harness, and Mesh Window nets); Mopar logo body wrap; Selection of unique, Mopar approved color choices. Of course, if you’re reading this and thinking you definitely need to have one, you’ll have to act quickly.
